Our Story
Our History
Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools was founded by Mrs. Angela Evans and Apostle Frederick and Lady Elect Betty Price, serving students from preschool through 12th grade. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, they established a school that provides academically strong Christian education to members of Crenshaw Christian Center and the surrounding communities.
The school opened its doors in September 1986 and, in September 1993, was dedicated in memory of the first-born son of Drs. Frederick and Betty Price. Although he went to be with the Lord at a young age, countless children have benefited—and continue to benefit—from a quality education grounded in the principles of God’s Word, established in his memory.
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the dedication of our faculty and staff, Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools has nurtured students’ spiritual, academic, and personal growth for decades, preparing them for success in life and higher education.
Our Legacy
Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools was founded in 1986 by Mrs. Angela Evans, Apostle Frederick K.C. Price, and Lady Elect Dr. Betty Price. The Lord gave Mrs. Evans a vision of opening a Bible-based school grounded in high academic and spiritual standards, led by born-again, Spirit-filled believers who would serve daily as positive and influential role models. With this vision, Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools was born.
The school was named in memory of Mrs. Evans’ older brother, Frederick III, who tragically died at the age of eight. From the Frederick K.C. Price III Child Care Center in 1985, the Elementary School in 1986, the Middle School in 1987, and the High School in 1992, the Schools have provided a comprehensive education nurturing the whole child—spirit, soul, and body. In 2013, the Schools’ name was updated to Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools to fully reflect their faith-based mission.
Over its 40 years of operation, Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools has:
Successfully educated over 10,000 students from preschool through 12th grade in South Los Angeles

Maintained a typical 100% high school graduation rate since 1996
Maintained a typical 100% acceptance rate to four-year colleges and universities for its graduates
Secured over $1,000,000 in college scholarships for its graduates
Seen over 10% of alumni return as teachers, coaches, mentors, and parents
Pepperdine University
Christian-based education has been part of the Los Angeles private school tradition since 1937. Before Crenshaw Christian Center moved to its 32-acre Vermont Knolls campus, the grounds belonged to Pepperdine University, a Church of Christ university now located in Malibu, California.
Founded by Christian businessman George Pepperdine, the university opened with a mission to “build in the student a Christ-like life, a love for the church, and a passion for the souls of mankind.” Little did Mr. Pepperdine know, this campus would later provide the foundation for Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools, supporting a Bible-based, college preparatory curriculum with personalized attention for every student.
Crenshaw Christian Center
After Pepperdine University moved, Crenshaw Christian Center purchased the property in 1981. Known as “This Church that Faith Built,” CCC was founded by Apostle Frederick K.C. Price in 1973 at 9550 Crenshaw Blvd in Inglewood, California.
Due to its growing membership, CCC acquired the former Pepperdine campus to accommodate more than 10,000 members. In 1984, the church moved all activities to the grounds. Starting with a congregation of just 300, Crenshaw Christian Center now faithfully teaches the Word of God to over 18,000 members locally and worldwide. Under the leadership of Pastor Frederick K. Price Jr., Apostle Price’s son, CCC continues to inspire and equip new generations.
Over the past 40 years, CCC has launched numerous initiatives, including:
The Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries (formerly FICWFM), now with a global reach
CCC East in Manhattan, New York
Ever Increasing Faith TV, radio, CD, DVD, and magazine ministry
Publications on faith, healing, prosperity, and the Holy Spirit
The Apostle Frederick Price Ministry Training Center
Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools
Through these endeavors, Crenshaw Christian Center has cultivated spiritual growth, education, and community impact that continue to flourish today.
