Building a Lifelong Foundation for Faith and Academic Excellence
At Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools, our elementary program (K–5) lays the groundwork for lifelong learning by combining rigorous academics with spiritual growth in a nurturing, faith-filled environment. We prepare students to thrive intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually so they’re ready for middle school and beyond.
Academic Curriculum
Our academic program blends traditional instruction with trusted, standards-aligned curriculum to build strong foundational skills in all core subjects. Students receive instruction in:
Language Arts – California Treasures
Mathematics – MyMath
Science – CA Science (McGraw Hill)
Social Studies – CA Communities (McGraw Hill)
Bible – Abeka, with weekly scripture memorization and Bible-based character lessons
Technology is integrated through Chromebook use in Language Arts and standardized testing preparation. Students receive daily instruction in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
Small Classes, Strong Support
With an average class size of 20 students, your child receives the personal attention they need to succeed.
Kindergarten and 1st grade classes include a full-time teaching assistant
2nd and 3rd grade share a floating instructional aide
Daily 30-minute tutoring is available from teachers at no additional cost
Educational Pull-outs
Throughout the year, students rotate through specialized classes taught by our middle and high school faculty, including:
Visual Arts: Students explore their creativity through various art mediums, learning techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture, fostering artistic expression and appreciation.
Performing Arts: Through theater, recording arts, and participation in school productions, drill team, and drum line, students explore their creative potential in our Performing Arts Department.
Physical Education: Students learn disciplined exercise routines and the basics of various sports, including volleyball, football, basketball, and running.
Spiritual Development
Spiritual formation is central to all we do. Students begin each day with praise and worship, engage in daily Bible instruction using Abeka, and attend weekly chapel led by the Crenshaw Christian Center youth pastor. Scripture memorization is part of weekly assessments, and Christian holidays are joyfully celebrated.

Partnering with Families
We believe that a strong school community begins with active family involvement. At Price, parents are valued partners in their child’s educational journey. Communication is consistent and clear, with monthly school newsletters and regular email updates from teachers. Parents are invited to attend all school events and are encouraged to volunteer in a variety of ways—from supervising lunch to helping with class parties and campus events.
To foster this partnership, each family is required to complete 40 volunteer hours per school year, creating meaningful connections between home and school.
A Welcoming, Culturally-Rich Community
With a predominantly African-American and Latino student body, we celebrate culture and community through Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and year-round learning that affirms identity and belonging.
